            The Committee on Political Subdivisions moves to amend the bill:

            (1) on page two, subsection (a), on line one, after the word “statement,” by striking out the word “shall” and inserting in lieu thereof the word “may”;

            (2) on page two, subsection (b), on line five, after the word “requesting,” by striking out the word “the”; and

            (3) on page two, after subsection (d), by inserting a new subsection (e) to read as follows:

            “(e) By October 15 of every fiscal year, each county commission shall publish a notice that the financial statement required by this section is available to the public, free of charge, at the county’s primary office and on a website maintained by the county. The notice shall contain the office address and the website address where the financial statement is available. The county shall publish the notice annually as a Class I-0 legal advertisement. The area of publication is the county” followed by a period.
